Passover (or Pesach in Hebrew) commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. This year, the eight-day festival is celebrated April 15 – April 23. The Passover meal is called the Seder, and it includes four cups of wine, the eating of matzah and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of the Exodus.
