Through my involvement with the people of Israel, I have come to know many Israeli politicians and civic leaders. In the course of that work Shimon and I became good friends. Shimon Peres was one of the founding fathers of the nation of Israel. He was the International chair of the Friends of Zion Museum which I founded in Jerusalem. Shimon and I were to meet at the very hour he was taken ill to take the first step in writing a book about the wooden synagogue in which 2,000 Jews were burned to death. This is his story.

The Jerusalem Prayer Team was inspired from the 100-year long prayer meeting for the restoration of Israel held in the ten Boom family home in Haarlem, Holland. We are committed to encouraging others to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and God's Chosen People.
